It was an unseasonably warm day in early October, but delightful, especially in the evening.  The theme chosen for this wedding was "pin up" from the 1940's era.  After a church ceremony, the bank barn, decorated with vintage items and memorabilia with swing music on the air, welcomed guests  for the cocktail hour.  Both the stable on the ground floor and the loft were used for seating while the bar was set up beyond the bank under a tent overlooking an 8 acre pasture and three curious horses.  175 guests enjoyed exploring the barn and nearby grounds as the bridal party was photographed with scenic backgrounds and the 1942 Willys coupe.  Dinner and dancing took place in the indoor arena, a 5000 sq. ft. space.  Gossamer fabric draped the rafters where 3 chandeliers hung.   Fairy lights, mirrors and framed pin up pictures lined the walls immersing the guests in the theme, as well as the DJ/MC, who also provided the photobooth and props for entertainment. Black carpeting covered the entire floor bordered by 70 deep red mums.  The dinner was served as a buffet.  No one wanted it to end...it was magical and is still being talked about... I know this for a fact, because I am the Mother of the Bride.

It was this wedding that inspired me to offer my farm as a venue for other events.  I enjoy the creative energy involved in the production and the more unusual the better.  Themes or interests that are personal to the client makes their occasion memorable to all.  Another advantage to a venue like this is your four-legged friends are welcome as either guests or participants.
